The most uncomplicated way to measure your window for new  window fly screens is to measure the old screens.

Measure the height and widths of the screen along the outside edge of the aluminium frames.

For added consistency, measure a few of the same size screens (if you happen to have more than one) to see if there are slight differences. This way you can use the most common measurements from all your old window screens.
